and other property along with liability for the horse
operations. Whether you own a small farm with just your
own horses or a large farm with boarding, breeding,

Boarding,
training and lesson liability
If
your business is horses, you need a commercial general
liability policy which provides specific protection
for claims involving the horses and your premises. Our
policies are designed and underwritten by companies
with many years of experience insuring the horse
industry. They have claims personnel who are familiar
with the risks associated around horses, and will provide
the best possible defense for you in the event of a
claim. Compliance with state equine laws concerning
signs and releases/hold harmless agreements is a must.
Care,
Custody and Control liability
This
policy is designed for businesses who board, train or
breed horses owned by other people. A care, custody
and control policy will defend you from lawsuits if
a non-owned horse is injured or dies while in your care.
This coverage is not provided by your general liability
policy and must be purchased separately. Premiums start

Business
auto for horse farms can be difficult to obtain in the
standard auto market. Our insurance companies offer
this coverage for your pickup trucks, vans, trailers, and
even tractor-trailers used in connection with your horse
business.
Private
horse owner liability
What
if your horse injures someone or causes damage to someone
else's property? Some homeowners policies cover
this, and others do not. A private horse owner liability
policy will protect you and provide a defense against
legal claims brought against you in the event that your
horse causes injury or damages to a third party. Coverage
is very affordable starting at $150 per year for an
annual aggregate liability limit of $600,000.
